Project Manager CPOE/Order Set Needed in Massachusetts - Worcester

Large healthcare system in central massachusetts is seeking a Project Manager to plan and manage the delivery of business and clinical system solutions and associated application technical support services in support of the healthcare system’s business and clinical objectives and ongoing operations. You will manage the System Development Life Cycle, i.e. systems and project planning, estimating, management, execution, implementation and ongoing support. Works closely with the relevant stakeholder groups, the appropriate IS resources, and vendors to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of systems solutions deployed in support of business goals and objectives.
Specific responsibilities include the design, build, test, train and go-live of Clinical Order sets, Plans of Care and supporting CPOE in the Soarian Clinical environment. In addition, there are responsibilities for development of evidence-based order sets in the Zynx application.
To be considered for this position, you must have previous experience in CPOE and order set development. Experience with the Soarian application is preferred. An experienced knowledge of systems and network infrastructures used in health care is also needed. (Technical qualifications are dependent upon focus of projects responsible for). Previous clinical informatics experience is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in computer Science or equivalent clinical experience is required. Over 5 years and up to and including 7 years of experience in clinical IT projects.
Prior experience directing and coordinating project work and staff.
Process Redesign experience leveraging Agile and/or Lean/Six Sigma methodologies preferred.
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Proficiency with MS Office advanced applications, Project and Access preferred. Experience with Crystalis a plus.
Experience with Clinical applications, Order Entry, Medication Management, Clinical Documentation, CPOE is strongly preferred. Clinical Credential (RN, LPN, MT, RHIA, RPh) a plus.
Ability to present to a clinical audience and lead discussion topics is an essential skill set.
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills are essential.

 Ability to lead a business transition process that leverages technology  (Process Reengineering/ Redesign). Ability to demonstrate excellent presentation skills to a wide variety of audiences.
